I have been feeling pretty sluggish lately, and I have to admit to myself that it probably boils down to my diet. After going on a road trip with the kids, eating so much fast food on the road it became the norm, and using the ” I’m on vacation” excuse for almost a month, I have realized it is time to bite the bullet and kick some bad habits I have picked up over the past several months. A friend of mine, Lindsey, was feeling pretty sluggish too, so we both decided to try the 21 Day Sugar Detox by Diane Sanfilippo (check out the book and website here). Lindsey has attempted this before and she lasted 14 days, but I am a Sugar Detox Virgin. I’ll be posting my weight, BMI, and pictures, as well as what I am eating and how I feel. I am hoping if I add this dreaded journey to my blog, maybe I will stick with it! It’s worth a shot, right?
So, lets see how I am with no cupcakes, what interesting food concoctions I come up with to try to replace cupcakes, and how long I last! I am determined to last the entire 21 days, but I understand that I am human, and chocolate and me are friends.
So today I am confident, but next week I might not be singing the same cheery tune. We will see how it goes!
Wish me luck….I am going to need it.
